In continuation of my letter of the 8th instant, I am directed

to transmit for your information the enclosed copy of Terms of

Reference wale to the Committee, consisting of the Director of

Public Works and Mr. A. J. Willians, whom His Excellency the

Governor has appointed to report on the Bridges and Culverts of

bhe British-Section, Kowloon-Canton Railway.

2.

I am to add that the Committee desire to make certain borings

under the supervision of an Executive Engineer of the Public Works

Department and to request you to give facilities for such work

being done.
